Just like the squad that appeared destined for a historic finish to a mind-boggling season of absolute perfection.  The Supernaturals. That’s the nickname. It’s the only way to describe what was happening in 2005, when Northern Kentucky University’s softball team owned a 55-0 record. The Norse had shattered every collegiate softball record for winning streaks and unbeaten starts. They’d also captured the Great Lakes Valley Conference title and the regional championship. No team in collegiate softball history had ever finished unbeaten and national champions. Krohman prepares for next chapter at Illinois

And it’s difficult to imagine the 8th Region has ever produced a talent like Macy Krohman, given the fact the Simon Kenton standout earned Kentucky Miss Softball this spring. Yes, that same Macy Krohman who committed to play at the University of Illinois as a freshman in high school. She’s now a graduate of Simon Kenton and recently moved to Illinois, where she will begin her college career this fall for the Fighting Illini of the Big Ten.
